CLDP: Strategic Planning & Business Plan Development


The Chamber Leadership Alliance (CLA) is proud to present you with Chamber Leadership Development Program (CLDP) on September 15, 22 & October 6!

This CLA program will leverage knowledge from subject matter experts on strategic planning and business plan development to provide leaders with the necessary tools to grow sustainable chambers/chapters and advocacy organizations to effectively build and strengthen minority, women, LGBT, disability, and veteran business communities.

* A certification of completion will be presented to participants (via email) who have attended two (2) of three (3) trainings per core competency.

  • Session 1, September 15: Unpacking Strategy & Planning 

    Learning Objectives:

    • LO 1 - To understand strategy as a leadership competency

    • LO 2 - To recognize critical steps within strategy creation

    • LO 3 - To be cognizant of influences that impact strategy

  • Session 2, September 22: Critical Connections to Strategy & Planning 

    Learning Objectives:

    • LO 1 - To understand the necessity of strategic thinking

    • LO 2 – To recognize the connection between innovation and strategy 

    • LO 3 – To recognize the connection between futures and strategy 

    • LO 4 – To recognize the connection between inclusion and strategy

  • Session 3, October 6: Tools & Methods for Strategy & Planning 

    Learning Objectives:

    • LO 1 – To understand how tools support strategy development

    • LO 2 – To recognize methods helpful for planning

    • LO 3 – To understand strategy as a leadership competency
